Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag and move the FLT CONTROL SHUTOFF switch R on the P61 panel to ON. Make sure the correct switch position light is OFF.

Move the rudder pedals through their full travel range and do these checks:
(a)
Make sure the rudder operates correctly and smoothly in each direction.
(b)
Make sure the rudder position indicator operates correctly and moves to its full scale position in each direction (approximately 30 degrees).
