Open the doors for the main gear and install the door locks (Ref 32-00-15).

Disconnect the airplane connector from the position transmitter.

Disconnect the control rod from the crank.

If only the transmitter will be replaced, remove the screws that connect the transmitter to the transmitter bracket and remove the transmitter.

Remove the bolts that connect the transmitter bracket to the mounting bracket, and remove the assembly.
