PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
1. General
A.  A parking brake system is provided to permit setting the brakes during parking or mooring. The system consists of a parking brake lever on the control stand and a mechanical linkage to position pawls in the lower nose compartment which lock the brake linkage in the brakes applied position. (See figure s 1 and 2.) A parking brake shutoff valve prevents hydraulic pressure loss.
