Place the TEST switch on the front of the antiskid module (E3-2 shelf) to the AUTOBRAKE position. Hold the test switch at AUTOBRAKE position thru step (15).

NOTE:  If any of the below steps are not accomplished within the specified time limit, the system will disarm and the test must be restarted with this step.

Place the AUTOBRAKE selector switch at MIN position.

(11)
Within 15 seconds of the above step, place the automatic speed brake handle to the ARMED position.

(12)
Within 15 seconds of the above step, place the automatic speed brake handle to DOWN (stowed) position.

(13)
Within 15 seconds of the above step, advance both throttles forward to 13.5 degrees.

(14)
Within 15 seconds of the above step, retard both throttles aft to 8.5 degrees.

(15)
After a delay of 57 seconds from step (14), verify all brake pressure gages read 300 +150 psi for about 8 seconds, (during this time, on the first run only, verify all four brake stacks are closed). Ensure gages smoothly rise to greater than 2900 psi, hold this pressure for about 5 seconds and then drop to 50 +50 psi. The AUTOBRAKE DISARM light will then start to flash.

Release the TEST switch on the front of the antiskid module.

After 5 seconds, lightly depress the right brake pedal. Ensure the AUTOBRAKE DISARM light illuminates steadily.

(18)
Place the AUTOBRAKE selector switch to OFF position.

(19)
Repeat steps (9) thru (18) with the following changes.

NOTE:  Steps (a) and (b) below are to be performed within 7 seconds.
(a)  
As soon as the pressure rises past 1500 psi in step (15), advance throttle No. 1, verify brake pressure decreases to less than 100 psi. Retard throttle No. 1 and verify brake pressure jumps.

(b)  
Advance throttle No. 2 in step (15); verify brake pressure decreases to less than 100 psi. Retard throttle No. 2 and verify brake pressure remains at zero.

(c)  
Depress the left brake pedal at step (17) and verify the AUTOBRAKE DISARM light illuminates steadily.


(20) Return the AUTOBRAKE selector switch to OFF position.
E.  Return System to Normal
(1) 
 Set parking brake.

(2)  
Close GND INTER VALVE circuit breaker on P6-2 panel.

(3)  
Remove electrical power if not required.

(4)  
Remove hydraulic power if not required (Ref 29-11-0 and 29-12-0).

AUTOBRAKE PRESSURE CONTROL MODULE - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES
1. General
A.  The following procedures cover removal/installation of the following autobrake pressure control module components:
(1)  
Filter (par. 4)

(2)  
Solenoid shutoff valve (par. 5)

(3)  
Pressure control valve (Par. 6)

(4)  
Pressure switch (Par. 7)


2.  Equipment and Materials
A.  Gear Ground Lock Assembly (Ref 32-00-01)
3.  Prepare for Removal
A.  Check that gear ground lock assembly is installed in main and nose gear (Ref 32-00-01)
B.  Place chocks under wheels.
C.  Provide electrical power.
D.  Open AUTOBRAKE CONTR circuit breaker on P6-3 panel.
4.  Autobrake Pressure Control Module Filter Removal/Installation (Fig. 201)
A.  Remove filter.
(1)  
Release parking brake.

(2)  
Remove hydraulic systems A and B power (Ref 29-11-0, Maintenance Practices, 29-12-0, Maintenance Practices).

(3)  
Unscrew filter cover.

(4)  
Remove retainers and O-rings from filter cover. Discard O-rings.

(5)  
Pull filter from module. Plug port.


CAUTION:  TO AVOID POSSIBLE UNIT MALFUNCTION, DO NOT ALLOW DIRT OR CONTAMINANTS TO ENTER PORT OF FILTER.
B.  Install filter.
(1)  
Install filter with new O-rings and retainers. Lubricate O-rings and retainers with BMS 3-11 hydraulic fluid upon installation.

CAUTION:  TO AVOID POSSIBLE UNIT MALFUNCTION, DO NOT ALLOW DIRT OR CONTAMINANTS TO ENTER PORT OF FILTER.

(2)  
Screw filter bowl into module. Tighten bowl 240 to 360 pound-inches and lockwire in place.
