3. Fault Confirmation

A. Test
(1) Do a test of the vacuum toilet system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-710-009).
B. Do the bite test (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-740-001).
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If the test gives a different maintenance message, you can find the related trouble shooting procedure in the applicable Page Block 101.
B. If the operational test is not satisfactory:
- Refer to the bite test last leg or previous legs report page. (Ref. Fig. 201/TASK 38-31-00-991-001)
(1) If the LAST LEG or PREVIOUS LEGS REPORT LEG give no maintenance message:
- Refer to the trouble shooting data page.
(2) If the TROUBLE SHOOTING DATA page gives the maintenance message LAV X FLUSH V CLOSED LIM SW:
- do check and repair the wiring between the:
- FCU connector J3/D / J3/F and limit switch closed (Ref. ASM 38-31/14).
(3) If the wiring is ok:
- do a check and adjust the related Limit Switch (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-57-820-001).
(4) If the fault continues:
- replace the Flush Valve, (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-57-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-57-400-001).
C. Test
(1) Do the test as given in paragraph 3. A. to check the correct
operation
(2) After the subsequent flight, make sure that the fault does not
continue.
