3. Fault Confirmation
__________________
A. Do a test of the vacuum toilet system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-710-009).
B. Do the bite test (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-740-001).
4. Fault Isolation
_______________
A. If the test gives a different maintenance message, you can find the related trouble shooting procedure in the applicable Page Block 101.
B. If the operational test does not operate:
- Refer to the bite test last leg or previous leg report. (Ref. Fig. 201/TASK 38-31-00-991-001)
(1) If the LAST LEG or PREVIOUS LEG gives no maintenance messages:
- Refer to the troubll shooting data page.
(2) If the TROUBLE SHOOTING DATA page gives the maintenance message LAV X FLUSH V MOT:
- do a check and repair the wiring between the:
- FCU connector J2/B / J2/A / J2/C and flush valve motor (Ref. ASM 38-31/14) and (Ref. CMM 383410).

(3) If the fault continues:
- make sure that the flush valve is not clogged.
(4) If the fault continues:
- replace the related Flush Valve, (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-57-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-57-400-001).
C. Test
(1) Do the test as given in paragraph 3. A. to check the correct
operation.
(2) After the subsequent flight, make sure that the fault does not continue.

- Refer to the trouble shooting data page.
(2) If the TROUBLE SHOOTING DATA page gives the maintenance message LAV X FLUSH V OPEN LIM SW:
- do a check and repair the wiring between the:
- FCU connector J3/A / J3/C and limit switch open (Ref. ASM 38-31/14).
(3) If the wiring is OK:
- do a check and adjust the related Limit Switch (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-57-820-001).
(4) If the fault continues:
- replace the Flush Valve, (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-57-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-57-400-001)
