R  A): 
R  (Ref. Fig. 201/TASK 27-40-00-991-001) 
R  1_  Put the pitch-trim control wheel in the zero position.
R  2_  Put the PIN - RIGGING (0U190360) (8) in position on the THS
R  actuator (1). 
R  3_  Disconnect the mechanical system link-plate (7) from the input
R  lever (9). 
R  4_  Move the pitch-trim control wheel from one stop to the other
R  and go back to the neutral position: 
R  - if you do not find stiffness, replace the ACTUATOR-THS (9CE) 
R  (Ref. AMM TASK 27-44-51-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-44-
R  51-400-001). 
R  - if you find stiffness, do this step: 
R  (c) Disconnect the shaft (4) from the stop and gearset unit (5) (see 
R  detail B): 
R  1_  Install the HOLDING TOOL-TRIM CTL LOWER SHAFT (98D27403000000)
R  on the drive shaft (4). 
R  2_  Install the standard locking bolt (10) on the chain (11).
R  3_  Remove the tapered pin (12).
R  4_  Move the pitch-trim control wheel from one stop to the other
R  and go back to the neutral position: 
R  - if you do not find stiffness, go to Para. (e).

R - if you find stiffness, go to Para. (d).

R  (d) Do a check for a failure of the mechanical part of the pitch-trim 
R  control mechanism (6) and the stop and gearset unit (5): 
R  1_  Do this corrective action:
R  - replace the pitch-trim control mechanism (Ref. AMM TASK 27-
R  41-41-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-41-41-400-001). 
R  or 
R  - replace the pitch trim control stop and gearset unit (Ref. 
R  AMM TASK 27-41-43-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-41-43-400-
R  001). 
R  2_  Connect the shaft (4) to the stop and gearset unit (5):
R  - install the tapered pin (12). 
R  - remove the standard locking bolt (10). 
R  - remove the trim-control lower shaft holding-tool. 
R  3_  Connect the shaft (2) to the THS actuator (1):
R  - connect the mechanical system link-plate (7) to the input 
R  lever (9). 
R  - remove the THS-actuator mechanical input lever rigging-pin 
R  (8). 
R  4_  Go to the Para. (g).
R  (e) Check of the cable tension regulator: 
R  - do a visual inspection of the cable tension regulator (3): 
R  1_  Make sure that the cables are correctly installed in the
R  pulleys. 
R  2_  Make sure that the rigging scale index is in the correct
R  position on the cable tension regulator. 
R  3_  Do a check of the cable tension regulator of the THS trim
R  control (Ref. AMM TASK 27-41-00-220-001): 
R  - if OK, go to Para. (f). 
R  - if not OK, do this corrective action: 
R  a_  Replace the cable tension regulator (Ref. AMM TASK 27-41-
R  42-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 27-41-42-400-001). 
R  b_  Connect the shaft (2) to the THS actuator (1):
R  - connect the mechanical system link-plate (7) to the input 
R  lever (9). 
R  - remove the mechanical input lever rigging-pin (8). 
R  c_ Go to the Para. (g).

 


R  (f) Check of the THS mechanical control: 
R  - do a visual inspection of the THS mechanical control (Ref. AMM 
R  TASK 27-41-00-210-003), (Ref. AMM TASK 27-41-00-210-002), (Ref. 
R  AMM TASK 27-41-00-210-001). 
R  1_  Remove the THS control cables (Ref. AMM TASK 27-41-44-000-
R  001). 
R  2_  Do a check of the bearings of the shafts (2) and (4).
R  3_  Install the THS control cables (Ref. AMM TASK 27-41-44-400-
R  001). 
R  4_  Connect the shaft (4) to the stop and gearset unit (5):
R  - install the tapered pin (12).
