L2 This caution is triggered, in case of dual failure, when a subsequent third failure affecting the
F/CTL system may lead to degraded pitch control or pitch mechanical backup. Certain failure
combinations lead to an aileron preset to limit the pitch up effect in case of this third failure. If this
third failure occurs, the ELEV REDUND LOST PROC and associated FL and speed limitations no
longer apply. In this case, if the MAN PITCH TRIM ONLY message is displayed, it is recommended
that the autothrust be disconnected to improve longitudinal control of the aircraft.
