Two different procedures can be displayed on the ECAM, depending on whether the
SMOKE AVNCS VENT SMOKE ECAM warning is triggered or not before the flight crew
sets the electrical emergency configuration.
 If SMOKE AVNCS VENT SMOKE is not triggered:
The ECAM displays the ELEC EMER CONFIG procedure described in Refer to
PRO-ABN-24-Z ELEC EMER CONFIG (GEN not Recovered or APU GEN not Available).
The flight crew must apply the ECAM without performing the ALL GEN reset.
 AT 3 MIN OR 2000 FT BEFORE LDG:
Restore all generators 3 min before landing or at 2 000 ft AAL to recover normal braking
and normal flight control law, while minimizing possible reactivation of a smoke source.
Just before restoring all generators, switch First Officer Side on IR3, since:
IR3 is not ‐ lost in EMER ELEC CONFIG,
‐ IR2 is recovered but faulty since not aligned, and PFD2 and ND2 are recovered after
that generators are on.

 If SMOKE AVNCS VENT SMOKE is triggered:
The ECAM displays a specific ELEC EMER CONFIG procedure. The flight crew must apply
the following ECAM procedure.

CAUTION In case of discrepancies between the airspeed indications on the Captain’s
PFD and on standby indicator, disregard the standby indicator (probe not
deiced).
Note: 1. Only VOR 1 or ADF 1 (as selected on the DDRMI) is available. The ADF/VOR
selector position on the FCU must be in accordance with the ADF/VOR selector on
the DDRMI.
2. Engine anti-ice pb-sw is ON, regardless of the pushbutton’s position, so fuel
consumption increases by approximately 1.5 %.

Note: As fuel is fed from one side only, fuel balance must be monitored. To maintain fuel
balance, L PUMP 2 can be selected off. R PUMP 2 will then automatically start (its
corresponding FAULT light will go off).
WEIGHT/CG....................................................................................................................INITIALIZE
This line appears because the FCMCS lose the WEIGHT/CG information, due to the power
interruption that occurs before EMER GEN activation.
The GW and CG must be initialized again in the FCMC, by manually re-entering their values in
the FUEL PRED page.
