TE ASYM-SKW-IND? Test
The TE ASYM-SKW-IND? test does a check of the TE flap
indication and a check of the TE flap bypass valve. You can do
this test with the TE flaps at any position.
This test is interactive. During this test, the needles in the TE
flap position indicator move and you must answer questions
that show on the BITE display.
TE FLAP LD REL? Test
The TE FLAP LD REL? test does a check of the flap load relief
function and a check of the airspeed data from the ADIRU.
This test is interactive. During this test, you must move the flap
lever and the TE flaps and the LE devices move.
DISPLAY TEST?
The DISPLAY TEST? shows the BITE display characters in
sequence. This test is not interactive. When the test is complete,
the BITE display shows DISPLAY TEST? again.

Other Functions
These are the other functions in the FSEU BITE:
* SET OUTPUTS?
* I/O MONITOR?
* ERASE FAULTS?.
To go to one of these functions, do these steps:
* Go to the main menu
* Use the up or down arrow switches until you see OTHER
FUNCTNS? in the BITE display
* Push the YES switch
* Use the up or down arrow switches until you see the function
that you want
* Push the YES switch.
SET OUTPUTS? Function
The SET OUTPUTS? function lets you command the FSEU to
change the discrete signal sent to a component. These are the
discrete signals that you can control:
* LE DEPR VALVE?
* LE UCM SHUTOFF?
* RUD PRES LIMIT?
* TAKEOFF WARNING?
* LE INTRANS?
* LE UCM?
* ECS?
* LOGO LIGHTS?.
After 75 seconds, the FSEU changes the discrete signal to its
previous condition. If it is necessary, you can use the BITE to
change the discrete signal to its previous condition before 75
seconds.
I/O MONITOR? Function
The I/O MONITOR? function lets you see more information for
sensors that send data to the FSEU. These are the menu
selections for the I/O MONITOR? function:
* PROX SENSORS?
* SYNCHRO INPUTS?.
The PROX SENSORS? selection lets you see the sensor to
target gap information for all the LE flap and slat proximity
sensors. The gap information for each sensor is one of these:
* GAP NEAR
* MARGINAL
* GAP FAR.
GAP NEAR shows when the gap is less than a limit. GAP FAR
shows when the gap is more than a limit. MARGINAL shows
when the gap is between a GAP NEAR condition and a GAP
FAR condition.
The SYNCHRO INPUTS? selection lets you see the position of
these components, in degrees:
* Flap lever position sensor

* Flap skew sensors.
ERASE FAULTS? Function
The ERASE FAULTS? function lets you prevent faults that are in
NVM from display on the FSEU BITE. Therefore, after you start
this function, you cannot see the previous fault information in
FAULT HISTORY?. When this function is complete, the BITE
display shows FAULTS ERASED.
The ERASE FAULTS? function does not permanently remove
the fault information from the FSEU. To see the fault information
later, you must use special equipment.
