Significantly, the 24th IA0PA World Assembly in Athens was held with the backing of the Greek Ministries of Trans¬port and Tourism Development and used as a launch pad for the '1st International Aero Expo Athens - Icarus 2008', which it is hoped is destined to become the pre¬mier GA exhibition in southern Europe.

IA0PA Europe publishes a bi-monthly magazine, entitled General Aviation, which can be accessed electronically from the IA0PA Europe website (iaopa-eur.org). The same website also offers an electronic news service, known as the'e-newsletter', for its 23,000 European members.
STRUCTURE
IA0PA is governed by an Executive Board (EB) consisting of the chief executives of every accredited member organisation. The EB meets at least every 24 months and the Regional Boards meet twice
a year.IA0PA's president and the vice presidents of the Regional Affiliates are elected to serve a four-year term without remuneration.
