This chart contains conversion tables for capacities, lengths, temperatures, and weights and measures from the English system to the Metric system and back again.
2.
Procedure for Converting Inches to Millimeters. (Refer to Tables.)
A. Example: Convert 1.5 inches to millimeters.

Read down inches column to 1. inches.
(2)
Read across top inch column to 0.5.
(3)
Read down and across to find millimeters (1.5 inches equals 38.10 millimeters).
3. Procedure for Converting Fahrenheit (° F) and Celsius (° C) (Centigrade) Temperature. (Refer to Tables.)
A. Read number in middle column, if in degrees Celsius (° C), read Fahrenheit equivalent in right hand column. If in degrees Fahrenheit (° F), read Celsius equivalent in left-hand column.
