(1) When you install the packings, do these steps:
CAUTION: PUT A THIN LAYER OF LUBRICANT ON THE PACKINGS BEFORE YOU
_______ INSTALL THEM. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE PACKINGS THAT CAN CAUSE AN ENGINE MALFUNCTION OR FAILURE.

white petrolatum.
NOTE: Usually the red and off-white colored preformed
