R (a) If all the signals are OK:
R NOTE : Remove the insulation from around the SENSOR 141DU, the
____ R HEATERS 142DU, 146DU and 147DU.
R - apply cooling spray to the SENSOR 141DU for at least 10 s,
R - stop for approx. 120 s,
R - do a check of the temperature of the HEATERS 142DU, 146DU and
R 147DU.
R 1_ If the HEATERS 142DU, 146DU and 147DU stay cold:
R - replace the SENSOR-WASTE WATER DE ICING (141DU) (Ref. AMM
R TASK 30-71-17-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 30-71-17-400-001).
R 2_ If the HEATER 142DU stays cold:
R - replace the HEATER ELEMENT-WASTE WATER DE ICING (142DU)
R (Ref. AMM TASK 30-71-53-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 30-71-R 53-400-003).
R 3_ If the HEATER 146DU stays cold:
R - replace the HEATER ELEMENT-WASTE WATER DE ICING (146DU)
R (Ref. AMM TASK 30-71-53-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 30-71-R 53-400-003).
R 4_ If the HEATER 147DU stays cold:
R - replace the HEATER ELEMENT-WASTE WATER DE ICING (147DU)
R (Ref. AMM TASK 30-71-53-000-003) and (Ref. AMM TASK 30-71-R 53-400-003).
R (b) If there is no 115 VAC:
R - do a check and repair the wiring between:
R CONTROL UNIT 140DU connector A/14 and CB 8DU.

R (c) If there is no 28 VDC:
R - do a check and repair the wiring between:
R CONTROL UNIT 140DU connector A/16 and CB 9DU.
R (d) If there is no GND:
R - do a check and repair the related wiring between:
R CONTROL UNIT 140DU connector A/12 and GND,
R CONTROL UNIT 140DU connector A/15 and GND (Ref. ASM 30-71/01).
R (3) If one microfuse is not OK:
R - do a check for a short circuit (Ref. ASM 30-71/01),
R - replace the microfuse.
**ON A/C ALL
E. Do the test as given in Para. 3.A.
5. Close-up________
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
