A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Only tow the aircraft if the ground conditions let you. If necessary, put down the applicable surface equipment: slopes, movable taxiway plates, etc. Only try to turn if the ground conditions let you.
(2)
Make sure that the safety devices are installed on the landing gears (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3)
Make sure that the engine cowls are closed.
(4)
On the N/W-steering deactivation electrical-box 5GC:
-set the ground-towing control lever to the towing position.
(5)
Install the PIN (D23156000).
(Ref. Fig. 206/TASK 09-10-00-991-005)
(6)
Do an EIS start procedure (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).

On the upper ECAM DU, on the MEMO page:
-the N WHEEL STEERG DISC indication comes into view.

On the panel 400VU:
R - make sure that the pressure indication on the yellow brake-pressure triple-indicator is correct: 3000 psi (206.8427 bar). The pointer must be in the green range.
-if necessary, pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-002).
NOTE : A pressure of 3000 psi (206.8427 bar) lets you operate the

brake seven times.
(9) On the panel 110VU:
-set the PARKING BRK control-switch to OFF.

Install the CABLE, TOWING - MLG (98A09001002000) or CABLE, TOWING -MLG (98A09003500000) on the towing fittings.
