On the N/W-steering deactivation electrical-box 5GC:
-set the ground-towing control lever to the towing position. (Ref. Fig. 206/TASK 09-10-00-991-005)
(6)
Do an EIS start procedure (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(7)
On the upper ECAM DU, on the MEMO page:
-the N WHEEL STEERG DISC indication comes into view.

(8) On the panel 400VU:
R - make sure that the pressure indication on the yellow brake-pressure triple-indicator is correct: 3000 psi (206.8427 bar). The pointer must be in the green range.
-if necessary, pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-002).
NOTE : A pressure of 3000 psi (206.8427 bar) lets you operate the

brake seven times.
(9) On the panel 110VU:
-set the PARKING BRK control-switch to OFF.

Remove the nuts (1), the washers (2) and the bolts (3).
(2)
Remove the block (4).
(3)
Remove the split pin (7), nut (6) and washer (5).

Remove the bolt (9) and sleeve (8).
(5)
Disconnect the rod end of the lower slave link sub-assembly.

(1)
Install the ATTACHMENT DE-BOGGING (98D09104001000) on each main landing gear.
(2)
Install the CABLE, TOWING - MLG (98A09001002000) or CABLE, TOWING -MLG (98A09003500000) on the rear fittings of the main landing gear.
(3)
Connect the CABLE, TOWING - MLG (98A09001002000) or CABLE, TOWING -MLG (98A09003500000) to the tractor.
(4)
Install the BAR - STEERING NOSE WHEEL (98A09003000001) on the nose landing gear.

E. Set the Lighting System and the Communication System to this
Configuration:

On the panel 25VU:
-
set the EXT LT/NAV & LOGO switch to ON,
-
set the EXT LT/BEACON switch to ON,
-
set the INT LT/DOME switch to BRT.
(2)
VHF System
-If communication is necessary between the aircraft and the control tower, on the RMP (Radio Management Panel) 11VU, push the VHF1 pushbutton switch. On the panel 60VU, connect a boomset.
(3)
Flight Interphone System
-On the panel 108VU, connect a boomset to the FLT INT socket. This connects you to the cockpit.
