R R R R NOTE : The shock absorber reaction can cause the aircraft to move____ forward and rearward when you stop the wheels. Because of this, make sure that there is sufficient space around the aircraft when you tow with the nose gear.
NOTE : During the towing operations, put:____ - one person in the cockpit to operate the brakes if necessary - two persons to monitor the wing tips.

A. Visual Inspection
R R (1) After you complete the towing operation, make sure that the nose wheels are aligned with the aircraft centerline.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Put the wheel chocks in position in front of and behind the wheels of the NLG and MLG.
(2) On the panel 110VU: - set the PARKING BRK control switch to ON.
(3) On the panel 400VU: - make sure that the pressure indication on the Yellow brake-pressure triple-indicator is correct: 3000 psi (206.8427 bar). The pointer must be in the green range. - if necessary, pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-002).

(1) Remove the towbar from the fitting of the NLG.
(2) Remove the tow-lever safety pin.
(3) Make sure that the ground-towing lever goes to its initial position.
R (4) On the upper ECAM DU, on the MEMO page: - the N.WHEEL STEERG DISC indication goes out of view.

(2) On the panel 60VU, disconnect the boomset. Release the VHF1 pushbutton switch if there is communication between the control tower and the cockpit.
(3) On the panel 108VU, disconnect the boomset.

IF YOU APPLY THE PARKING BRAKE OR THE BRAKE PEDALS, YOU CAN CAUSE: - OVERLOAD TO THE NOSE LANDING GEAR - DAMAGE TO THE TOWBARLESS TRACTOR - INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL. IF THIS OCCURS, YOU MUST REFER TO AIRBUS.
CAUTION : WHEN YOU USE A TOWBARLESS TRACTOR, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY FULLY ALL_______ THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS PROCEDURE. IF YOU DO NOT, THE TRACTOR CAN CAUSE IMPORTANT SCRAPING OR OTHER DAMAGE TO THE NLG.
R R NOTE : For aircraft with cabin and/or cargo compartment(s) floor panels____ removed, smooth and low-speed towing is recommended.
R R NOTE : You can use this towing procedure to disengage the aircraft from the____ gate area. No other operational towing is permitted.
