CLEANING PRODUCTS FOR AEROSPACE AND DEFENSE
For over 20 years, Petroferm has manufactured and supplied cleaning products to the aerospace and defense industry
including commercial aviation, general aviation, military and space. Marketed under the AXAREL®, BIOACT®, CleanSafe™
and LENIUM® brands, these products have been specially formulated to meet today’s performance, compatibility and
environmental requirements.
Petroferm cleaning products are used during the manufacture, maintenance and repair of aerospace and
defense components. We currently provide products for use in the following areas:

AQUEOUS CLEANERS
Petroferm offers high-performance, aqueous cleaning products designed for use in spray, immersion and ultrasonic
applications. These products offer the lowest environmental, health and safety impact while providing the flexibility
of adjusting concentrations and temperatures. These products do not contain nonylphenol or alkylphenol ethoxylates
(NPE/APEs), phosphates and have low to zero volatile organic compounds (VOCs). They have been formulated to replace
caustic solutions and cleaners with high silicate levels.

SEMI-AQUEOUS CLEANERS
Petroferm’s line of semi-aqueous cleaning products offers the unique combination of high solvency and long bath life
with the ease of water-rinsing. Designed to operate in immersion and spray applications, these powerful cleaners
effectively remove waxes, greases and other high melt-point soils.

VAPOR DEGREASING
Petroferm offers a complete line of vapor degreasing solvents suitable for replacing TCE, PERC, MeCl and HCFCs.
These products were developed to operate in open-top and vacuum vapor degreasing equipment and are fully supported
by Petroferm’s Platinum™ Start-up Service Program.

SOLVENT AND MANUAL CLEANERS
Petroferm manufactures a wide range of cleaning products designed to replace solvents with high, environmental, health
and safety impact. These products meet the NESHAP requirements for aerospace cleaning and are suitable alternatives to
acetone, IPA, MEK, MPK and other highly flammable and/or toxic solvents.
