TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION
1. It has been established that the last two digits of the 12
digit part number are for spares identification only and have
no effect on the form, fit or function of the component. It
is therefore recommended that if the last two digits of the
supplied component part number, differ from the last two
digits of the demand part number, the item should not be
withheld from its destination. It is the responsibility of
the end user to confirm the suitability of the component in
question. Contact the British Airways Concorde Core Office
for any clarification.
It is emphasized that the first 10 digits of the part number
determine the applicability of the component, the last two
digits represent a facility that the manufacturers spares
supply department use to determine the condition of the
component, eg. drilled, undrilled, pilot holes, painted,
unpainted, trim on assembly etc.
2. The only exception of this relates to MANDATORY SB 20-060 -
REPLACEMENT OF ALUMINIUM ALLOY RETURN PIPES where the last
two digits (in this case the digits are 51) indicate the post
