Parts manufactured by companies other tnan ASIBAC are
identified by an”appropriate ‘:endor code following the
nomenclature. Vendor codes are in accordance with current
issues of Federal Supply Codes for Manufacturers Cataloging
Handbooks H4-1 and H4-3, and are preceded by the
letter “V”.
When a Ve~dor Code cannot be obtained from the H4-1 and
H4-3 Cataloging Handbooks the name and address of the
Vendor follows the description.
Example : “ABG-SEMCA” - 408, Avenue des Etats-Unis
31016 - TOULOUSE - FW4NCE
- Standard parts such as AN, MS ..... are not identified
by a Vendor Code.
- AEROSPATIALE or BAC standard parts are identified by
the Vendor Code of the Seller of the Materials. If there
is more than o;leSeller, a dummy Vendor code VTOOOO is
assigned for the concerned P/N. For these PIN’s chapter
1-12 will contain a table which will give per PIN t?.e

This figure cross reference note :ndicates the catalog
locatlon where the item is listed under its next higher

8. Where items are listed for reference purposes, “RF” IS shown
in the Units per Assy column. When an installation or assembly
is referenced to other location(s) for breakdown, the initial
location reflects the Units Per Assembly quantity, and
subsequent locations show “RFn.
9. A number in the Units Per Assy column shows the quantity of
the part used per one next higher assembly or installation.
When more than one next higher assembly or installation is
required, the total quantity of parts required for one aeroplane
X- reflected for all parts in the total required column
of the Numerical Index.
10. Installations and assemblies are combined when the majority of
their details are identical, or when the assemblies of installations
are reversed images such as for left--handand righthand
parts.
‘ Detail parts not common to both assemblies are noted.
Left-hand parts bear LH after their titles, right-hand RH.
If a part is used on one side of the aircraft only, or one
assembly only, its title shall be followed by (LH side) “or
(RH side), however, the parts list contain both left and
right-hand part numbers.
11. Application of parts to aircraft is noted by a six-digit
alpha or numeric fleet effectivity code. The absence of a
code indicates that the part is effective for all aircraft
of a customers fleet. (See “Effectivity”

12. When installations or assemblies are combined and are therefore
interchangeable, detail parts not interchangeable and not
common to all combined installations or assemblies are so
noted.
RU 180A (RU = Restricted Usage, 180A = Item 180A)

13. For certain bulk items such as items cut from raw stock, or
common hardware items with large quantity usage, or usage
over 99 in one application ; and for certain item such as
shims where quantity must be determined upon installation,
the letters “AF,”are used to indicate “as required”.
14. Change Indicator. Data contained in the catalogue will be
updated by the issuance of revision pages. These pages WI1l “
contain the letter ‘R” as defined belo~~o on the right side
of the page :
“R” indicates a revision to the data on the line entry
opposite the “Rn indicator or the addition of a line entry.

appear in the limited part number field of the Part List. The
