Prior to assembly and installation, inspect all parts for wear and/or damage which could result in failure of the unit or any of its component assemblies.
NOTE:  After assembly, make sure that all CLEANING, CHECK AND REPAIR
procedures found in their respective sections for all component parts and
subsystems are completed.

2. Assembly
NOTE:  CAREFULLY INSPECT ALL RIVETED, SPOT WELDED, OR BONDED ASSEMBLIES AND COMPONENTS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION/ASSEMBLY. DO NOT REMOVE THESE ITEMS UNLESS REQUIRED DUE TO DAMAGE OR OTHER NEED FOR REPLACEMENT.
CAUTION:  EXERCISE EXTREME CARE WHEN REMOVING SCREWS OR BOLTS THAT ATTACH A PART TO THE SYNTHETIC PANELING. THREADED INSERTS, WHICH ARE INSTALLED IN THE PANELING TO RECEIVE SCREWS OR BOLTS, ARE INSTALLED IN PANELING WITH POTTING COMPOUND. UNNECESSARY DAMAGE TO THESE INSERTS WILL REQUIRE REPLACEMENT.
NOTE:  Assembly sequence is straight forward and self explanatory.
(a) Refer to IPL Figure 1 (Final Assembly) to assemble.

General

This section contains an illustrated parts list, definitions for the column headings of the
illustrated parts list, vendor codes / addresses, numerical index, assembly and detail
illustrations.

Illustrated Parts List

The illustrated parts list consists of an itemized breakdown of parts used on the unit which are illustrated as necessary to provide for their identification. The column headings of the parts list are defined as follows:
A. "Fig. / Item" (Figure / Item) Column
The number listed under "Fig." is the figure number of the assembly illustration used to illustrate the listed parts. The numbers listed under "Item" are the item numbers identifying the parts used on the assembly and detail illustrations. Where a part is not illustrated, the item number of that part will be preceded with a dash (-). Where item number variants are listed in the "Fig. / Item" column, it will be preceded by a dash (-).
B. "Part Number" Column
The number listed under "Part Number" is the same as the manufacturer's drawing number for that part or the same as the number listed in the manufacturer's assembly drawing "List of Materials" or the same as the number listed in the manufacturer parts catalog.
