CDM/CRCT Functionality
Capability Overview
• Expected to improve the ability of air
traffic managers to:
– Anticipate flow problem situations
requiring action
– Identify the geographic location
and aircraft involved in a problem
– Evaluate reroute plans before they
are implemented
– Share problem information and proposed
rerouting plans with airspace users and other FAA facilities to facilitate
collaborative decision making processes
• Users will gain greater access to FAA reroute planning activities and
decisions
• May add a degree of precision to the rerouting process
• Analytical tools may result in the reduction of MIT restrictions
