Capabilities: Continuous Conflict Prediction

URET continuously checks
current plans, based on flight
plan and track data, for conflicts.
Here, a Red conflict is predicted
to occur in ZME Sector 62
between MTE741 and AAL568.
Currently, MTE741 is controlled
by ZID Sector 81; AAL568 is
controlled by ZME Sector 26.
URET determines the sector to
be notified of the conflict based
on the initial point-of-violation.
Thus, ZME Sector 62 is notified
here.

Capabilities: Auto-Coordination

Since ZID Sector 81 currently controls MTR741, ZME Sector 62 sends the trial plan for the
descent to FL290 as an auto-coordination request to that sector.
URET uses another display, the Plans Display, for sectors to exchange auto-coordination
information. (The Plans Display can also be used to look at the details for trial plan conflicts.)
Here, the auto-coordination request for MTE741 is shown. The CLEARED text indicates that
ZID Sector 81 has cleared the aircraft on that trial plan. URET will automatically update the
Host with this information when the 2-way Host connection is operating and the amended
flight plan is accepted.

Capabilities: Trajectory Modeling
URET’s trajectory model adapts itself to the observed behavior of the aircraft. A before and after shot
of a climb profile is shown below. The red markers are altitude reports; the blue line is the trajectory.
After a vertical reconformance, the trajectory more closely matches the actual profile flown by the
aircraft. This allows for operationally acceptable prediction accuracy in a highly variable environment.
