Capabilities Overview
• Operates in Center, with remote
displays in TRACON and Tower
(optional)
• TMC/controller decision support
tool for optimizing and smoothing
the flow of En Route arrivals,
minimizing delays and balancing
flow from the Center to a TRACON
• Optimizes scheduling by
considering:
– TRACON acceptance rate
– Meter fix acceptance rate
– Time-based metering separation
– Airport acceptance rate

TMA-SC Functions
Graphical User Interfaces (GUI)
• Center TMU Displays
– Use the TMU GUI (TGUI)
– Displays of estimated and scheduled
times of arrival at specified outer
fix/arc, meter fix, final approach fix,
and threshold
– Arrival tracks, displayed in plan view
format
– Aircraft type/size predictions, load
balancing, rate setting, capacity
utilization, and other traffic
management statistics displayed on
load graphs
ETA STA
The TGUI shows TMC’s the
estimated arrival times (ETA)
and scheduled arrival times
(STA) calculated by TMA that
improve throughput to the fix
