General
The display on the LRU shows the results of the test. If there are external failures present, press the switch below MORE to see specific information about the failure.
Continue to press MORE to see all the failures. After you see all the failures, the display goes back to the first failure again.
Press the switch below RETURN to make the display go back to the normal operating mode.

General
The VOR/MB, MMR,DME,RA, and VHF COMM has built-in test equipment (BITE). The BITE includes a test that you start on the front of the LRU. When the LRU stops the test, the page shows TEST COMPLETE.
To see the status pages, push the switch adjacent to MAINT on the page that shows TEST COMPLETE. The LRU shows the following status pages:
-Status
-Tuning port (VOR/MB, MMR,DME, and VHF COMM only)
-Discretes 1, 2, and 3
-Source-destination-identifier program pins
-Central maintenance computer
-Failures recorded in previous flight legs.
To see more status pages, push the switch adjacent to MORE. To see all the status pages, continue to push MORE. When you see the last status page and you push MORE, the display shows the LRU status page again.
When you push the switch adjacent to RETURN, the LRU shows the display in the normal-operating mode.
LRU Status
This page shows the status of the LRU. STATUS is OK or FAILED. If the LRU status is FAILED, the page shows a fault code.
Tuning Port Status (VOR/MB,MMR,DME, and VHF COMM only)
This page shows the status of the input for tuning. Normally, the tuning input comes from the control panel. It is possible for the input to come from another source; for example, a different input may be the ARINC communication and reporting system (ACARS) management unit if the airplane has ACARS.
The page shows which tuning port is selected: A or B. It also shows the status of the input. The status can be:
-NORM (normal)
-TEST
-NCD (no computed data)
-NODAT (no data).
Discretes Status
These pages show the status of the discrete inputs to the LRU. There are two too four pages of discrete input status.
For each discrete input, the LRU shows the status. The status is either OPEN or GRND (ground). The LRU also shows the pin number on the connector. For example, P#MP-14B means the pin is on the middle plug and is pin number B14.
Source-Destination-Identifier Program Pin Status
This page shows the status of the program pins that tell the LRU its position. There are two discrete inputs. The status is either OPEN or COMM (common).
