ACARS - BITE - MAINTENANCE MENU
General
You will need to open the MCDU menu in order to open ACARS BITE. To access the MCDU menu page press the MENU key on the MCDU key pad. The menu page may also come up automatically when the FMCS goes through its power up.
The MCDU menu shows these sub-systems:
- FMCS
- ACARS
- ACMS
<ACT> (Active) will be displayed to the right of the sub-system that has current active control of the display on the MCDU.
Access to Maintenance Menu
On the MCDU menu page select <ACARS (LSK 2L). This will bring up the ACARS MAIN MENU. The ACARS menu gives you access to the operational functions and Diagnostics
If AMI software version -00027 is installed enter SWAMX into the MCDU scratch pad and select DIAGNOCSTIC > (LSK 6R), If not simply select DIAGNOCSTIC > (LSK 6R).
NOTE: To return to the MCDU menu select the MENU function key on the MCDU.
From the DIAGNOSTICS menu, select SYSTEM MENU > (LSK 6R). This will bring up the CMU SYSTEMS MENU.

From the CMU SYSTEM MENU select MAINTENANCE > (LSK 5R).
NOTE: To return to the DIAGNOSTICS menu, you must first return to the MAIN MENU using LSK 6L.
Maintenance Menu
The Maintenance Menu will give you access to the following CMU pages:
-PART NUMBERS: Lists software and CMU hardware part
numbers.
-FAULT LOG: Provides current and previous flight leg fault
information. -APM DATA: Shows information currently contained in the APM. -CHIME TEST: Will test the hi-lo chime function of the CMU and
aural warning module. -COMM AUDIT: Provides a list of uplinks and downlinks. -PROGRAM APM: Provides the ability to program the APM using
the MCDU.
NOTE: To return to the System Menu select <SYS MENU (LSK 6L).
