ACARS - BITE - APM DATA
APM Data Display
The APM DATA display will show the information currently contained in the APM. When the APM has a fault and the working copy of the APM data is not valid, the APM DATA display also supplies a means for information to be entered to allow minimal data link operation. This display is only accessible if the HGI table is valid. To access APM DATA> select LSK 1R.
Line 1L and 1R displays the tail number (aircraft registration), and the ICAO aircraft type.
Line 2L is only displayed when the CMU copy of the APM data is valid, but the APM copy of the data is not valid. Selection of the prompt is an indication by the crew that the tail number and ICAO aircraft type are correct for the aircraft, and it is acceptable to use the CMU copy of the APM data.
Line 3L is only displayed when the APM hardware is valid, the working copy of the APM data is not valid, and the Allow Programming of APM via the MCDU AMI attribute is enabled. A password is required to be entered in the MCDU scratchpad in order to access this page.
NOTE: To return to the MAINTENANCE MENU select <RETURN (LSK 6L).
Program APM
The PROGRAM APM display supplies the ability to program the APM using the MCDU. To access this page, enter the current password in the scratchpad and select LSK 6R.
Line 1L allows entry of an number that corresponds to an APM parameter and causes Line 2 to be displayed and updated. There are 166 possible APM parameters. See the Aircraft Maintenance Manual for a listing.
Line 2L displays the APM parameter that corresponds to the entry made in Line 1. The current value of the APM parameter is initially displayed. Entry in Line 2 is allowed and the format of the entry is dependent upon the type of parameter displayed.
Line 3L selection results in the APM parameter entered in Line 2 being written to the APM. After selecting Line 3, the CMU is restarted to ensure that all CMU options controlled by the APM parameters are correctly initialized
NOTE: To return to the MAINTENANCE MENU select <RETURN (LSK 6L).
