Inspection after Leaving Runway or Taxiway
1. Reason for the Job
__________________
When an aircraft goes off a runway or taxiway, the loads on the landing gear and the structure can change. The inspection that is necessary must be in function of all the different possible causes of these load changes:
-
the speed of the aircraft,
-
the weight of the aircraft,
-
the type of the ground (soft or hard),
-
the distance the landing gear goes into the ground.
R NOTE : Recovery must obey the ARM requirement. If recovery is different to
____ R the ARM requirement or if no recovery report is available, refer to R Airbus for special instructions.
Thus, when this incident occurs, you must always do this full inspection
before the aircraft can do more flights.
You must tell Airbus Industrie all the details of the incident immediately.
Airbus Industrie will give you the data and the aid to help you get the
aircraft safely back into operation.
