E. Datum Lines and Datum Points Necessary for the Measurements
(1)
Datum lines
(Ref. Fig. 601A/TASK 05-56-00-991-001-A)
(a)
Longitudinal axis XX' = the line through the points 11A and 12 along the horizontal datum line of the fuselage point 22R, Z = 0.
(b)
Vertical axis ZZ' = the vertical line through the point 11A.
(c)
Transversal axis YY' = perpendicular to XX' and ZZ'.
(2)
Datum points of the fuselage

F. Procedure for the Z Measurements on Different Points of the Aircraft NOTE : Do the Z measurements with the COLUMN-GRADUATED (98A08001006000).
____
(1) Operation of the column
(a) The column is installed on a tripod. It is set in the vertical plane with a level.
Table 2 (Dimensions in Millimeters / Inches)

(b)
Use the thermometer installed on the column to measure the ambient temperature.
(c)
Adjust the height of the column with a rack system to align it with the Z datum of the aircraft.

NOTE : For the check of the point 10, measure the radome.
____
(1) Datum lines
(a)
Make a projection of the points 10, 11, 12 and 13 to the floor with the SET - PLUMBS BOBS (98A08001004000).
(b)
Move the points 11 and 12 to the left by the dimension Y = 47.36 mm (1.8645 in.).
NOTE : The dimension 47.36 mm (1.8645 in.) at the points 11 and
____ 12 is due to the angular position of the tool. You only use this dimension when you measure with the SIGHTING RODS SET (98D08103500000) installed on these points. (Ref. Fig. 606/TASK 05-56-00-991-008)
(c)
Move the points 10 and 13 to the left by the dimension Y = 45 mm (1.7716 in.).
(d)
Align a cord through the points 11 and 12 with the HOLDING SET -MEASURING CORD (98A08001005000).
