− Make sure the rudder is in the neutral
position.
The left pedal must align with the right
pedal.
(4) Set the rudder pedals to fully left:
− The rudder must hit the stops at the
rudder mounting bracket.
The rudder position must be between
26º - 28º to the left, when measured from
the neutral position.
(5) Set the rudder pedals to fully right.
− The rudder must hit the stops at the
rudder mounting bracket.
The rudder position must be between
296º - 3128º to the right, when measured
from the neutral position.
(6) Make sure the left/right rudder pedals are
free to move when they are set in all of the
adjustable positions.

3. Rudder Control System Adjustments.
If you cannot get the correct range of movement of the rudder control system, use this procedure to
adjust the system.
A. Equipment
Items Quantity Part Number
Cable Tension Gauge. 1 Commercial.
Protractor 1 Commercial.
B. Rudder Adjustment Procedure
Detail Steps/Work Items Key Items
(1) Remove these items for access:
− Pilots seats.
− Baggage compartment floor.
Refer to Chapters:
− 25-10
− 25-10
(2) Set both rudder pedals fully forward.
(3) Set the rudder pedals central:
− Make sure the rudder is in the neutral
position.
The left pedal must align with the right
pedal.
(4) If necessary, adjust the length of the cables
between the yoke and the rudder mounting
bracket.
− Remove the lock clip from the
turnbuckles.
− Adjust the turnbuckles to set the rudder
to neutral.
− Do a test for correct cable tension.
− Tighten the turnbuckles and install the
lock clip.
You can get access to the turnbuckles
behind the fuel tank.
The cable tension must be between
13.25 - 17.33 kg (29.21 - 38.20 lb).
It is recommended to set cable tension
near the high limit.
Use a piece of safety lock wire to make
sure the turnbuckles that you have
adjusted are still safe.
(5) Set the rudder pedals to fully left:
The rudder must hit the stops at the rudder
lower mounting bracket.
The rudder position must be between
26º - 28º to the left, when measured from
the neutral position.

(6) If necessary, adjust the rudder stop bolt on
the left side of the rudder mounting plate:
− Release the lock nut on the correct stop
bolt.
− Adjust the stop bolt to give the correct
range of movement.
− Tighten the lock nut on the stop bolt.
The rudder position must be between
296º - 2831º to the left, when measured
from the neutral position.
(7) Set the rudder pedals to fully right.
− The rudder must hit the stops at the
rudder lower mounting bracket.
The rudder position must be between
26º - 28º to the right, when measured from
the neutral position.
(8) If necessary, adjust the rudder stop bolt on
the right side of the rudder mounting plate:
− Release the lock nut on the correct stop
bolt.
− Adjust the stop bolt to give the correct
range of movement.
− Tighten the lock nut on the stop bolt.
The rudder position must be between
269º - 2831º to the right, when measured
from the neutral position.
(9) Do a check of the correct rudder range of
movement.
Refer to Paragraph 2.
(10) Do an inspection of all the controls that you
have adjusted.
− If necessary for your airworthiness
authority, do a second inspection of the
controls.
(11) Install these items:
− Pilots seats.
− Baggage compartment floor.

B. Remove The Cockpit Rudder Control Cables (From the firewall to the yoke).
