ENGINE FUEL CONTROL -EEC WIRING HARNESS BIFURCATION CONDUIT
General
To move the engine from one location to another, you may need to separate the engine fan from the core. The EEC wiring harness bifurcation conduit makes this separation easier.
The conduit is the connection between wiring harnesses that go from the fan case to the core case. It permits you to disconnect the fan case wiring harnesses at the fan and the core harnesses at the core. You can then remove the conduit as a unit.
The conduit attaches to the fan case and high pressure compressor (HPC) case. The fan case electrical connections are on the left side of the conduit. The core electrical connections are on both sides of the conduit.

ENGINE FUEL CONTROL -EEC TEMPERATURE SENSORS
T3 Thermocouple Probe
The T3 thermocouple probe supplies a signal of HPC outlet air temperature to the EEC. The EEC uses it to control engine start fuel schedules. The probe attaches to the diffuser case on the left side of the engine at approximately the 10:00 position.
Fuel Temperature Sensor
The fuel temperature sensor supplies a signal to the EEC. The EEC uses it to control the fuel/oil cooler bypass valve and the engine air/oil cooler valve. The sensor measures the fuel temperature as fuel leaves the fuel/oil cooler. The probe attaches to the fuel outlet line on the rear of the fuel/oil cooler.
The EEC also sends the fuel temperature data to the AIMS through the EDIU. The AIMS shows the engine fuel temperature on the electronic propulsion control system (EPCS) maintenance page 2.
