P4.95 is LPT exhaust pressure. Four internal probes supply an average pressure to the EEC. The EEC uses this pressure signal and P2 to calculate EPR.
Engine Temperatures
T2 is the fan inlet temperature. The P2/T2 probe sends the temperature signal to the EEC. The EEC uses T2 for fuel flow control and to correct N1 and N2.
T2.5 is the LPC exit temperature. A thermocouple in the N1 speed probe supplies T2.5 to the EEC. This temperature signal is only for engine condition monitoring.
The T3 thermocouple probe supplies HPC exit temperature to the EEC. The EEC uses T3 to calculate starting fuel flow.
T4.95 is the EGT indication. The four EGT thermocouple probes measure the LPT exhaust temperature.
The turbine cooling air temperature comes from a thermocouple between HPT stages 1 and 2. The EEC uses the temperature to control the TVBC and TVC air valves.
Engine Speeds
The N1 speed probe sends the LP shaft speed to the EEC. The EEC uses N1 for fuel flow limiting and for power setting when the EEC is in the alternate mode.
The PMA sends the HP shaft speed (N2) to the EEC. The EEC uses N2 for fuel flow control.
The starter speed sensor sends engine starter speed to the EEC. The EEC uses the starter speed to control the starter air valve solenoid.

ENGINE FUEL CONTROL -EEC SENSOR INPUTS

Engine Fuel System
The fuel flow transmitter sends the engine fuel flow rate to the EEC. The EEC sends fuel flow data to the AIMS for indication.
The fuel temperature thermocouple measures the temperature of the fuel at the fuel oil cooler. The EEC uses this signal to control fuel and oil temperature.
The fuel filter differential pressure switch monitors the condition of the fuel filter. The EEC sends a signal to the AIMS to cause a flight deck effect.
Engine Oil System
The oil pressure transmitter sends oil pressure to the EEC. The EEC sends oil pressure to the AIMS for indication.
The oil temperature sensor measures the temperature of the oil at the oil tank. The EEC uses this signal to control fuel and oil temperature.
The oil filter differential pressure switch monitors the condition of the engine pressure oil filter.
Engine Component Position
LVDTs on the nacelle zone ventilation shutoff valve send valve position to the EEC.
EFFECTIVITY

LVDTs on the turbine case cooling (TCC) air valve actuator send position signals to the EEC. The EEC uses the signals to find the position of the LPT and HPT air valves.
An LVDT on the turbine vane cooling (TVC) air valve actuator sends position signals to the EEC. The EEC uses the signals to find the position of the TVC air valve.
An LVDT in the VSV actuator sends the actuator position to the EEC. The EEC uses the signal find VSV position.
An RVDT in the 2.5 bleed valve actuator sends actuator position to the EEC. The EEC uses the signal to find 2.5 bleed valve position.
