TIP -ENGINE SYSTEM TESTS
This test applies to chapters 73 and 75. It causes the EEC controlled air driven actuators to move to their minimum and maximum positions. This test makes sure that the air driven actuators can move through their full range and that their slew rate is correct. This test makes sure that both EEC channels can control the air driven actuators correctly. This test does a check on these components:

2.9 start bleed
*
2.9 stability bleed
*
Nacelle zone vent shutoff
*
Turbine vane and blade cooling (TVBC) air shutoff valves.

ENGINE COWLING -INTRODUCTION
The cowl contains and protects the engine components. The cowl also controls the airflow through and around the engine. Some of the engine cowl opens for maintenance access.
The engine cowl has four parts:

Fan cowl

Thrust reverser
*
Turbine exhaust system.
