TIP -ENGINE DISCONNECTS (RIGHT)
When you change an engine you must disconnect many things. You make the disconnects above the fan case and above the engine core just below the strut.
Fan Disconnects
There is a fan/strut disconnect panel above the fan case. The right side of this panel has these connections:

Electrical (2)
*
Right fan cowl PDOS hydraulic tube
*
Fan air valve pneumatic tube.
Core Disconnects
There is a core/strut disconnect panel on the right side of the engine that attaches to the bottom of the strut. The panel has these connections:
*
Hydraulic pressure line
*
Hydraulic supply line
*
Hydraulic drain line
*
Main fuel supply line.
The core/strut disconnect panel also has a strut drain line connection on the forward side of the panel.
These are five additional connections you must disconnect when you change an engine:
*
Upper strut drain line
*
Lower strut drain line
*
Fire extinguishing line
*
Upper starter duct
*
Right thrust reverser aft cowl load share strap.

TIP -BOOTSTRAP EQUIPMENT
When you change an engine, you lift and lower it with bootstrap equipment. The bootstrap equipment includes these assemblies:

Forward bootstrap
*
Aft bootstrap
*
Hoist.
Forward Bootstrap Assembly
The forward bootstrap assembly attaches to the forward end of the strut. The assembly has these seven structural components that each weigh less than 22 lb (10 kg):
*
Forward support pad assembly
*
Forward center assembly
*
Forward side block assembly
*
Diagonal links (2)
*
Forward inboard arm (blue)
*
Forward outboard arm (yellow).
Aft Bootstrap Assembly
The aft bootstrap assembly attaches to the bottom of the strut just forward of the aft engine mount. The assembly has these five structural components that each weigh less than 24 lb (11 kg):
*
Aft center beam
*
Aft inboard arm (blue)
*
Aft outboard arm (yellow)
*
Sheaves (2).
