TIP -ENGINE SYSTEM TESTS
There are six system ground tests for each engine. The left and right engine tests are the same except for the titles. These are the system tests for the left engine:

Engine Actuator -Dry Motor (L Eng)

Ignition System (L Eng)
*
Reverse Thrust Lever Interlock Actuator (L Eng)
*
P2/T2 Probe Heat (L Eng)
*
FMU Fuel On And Fuel Off Solenoid (L Eng)
*
Engine Actuator -Idle (L Eng)
Engine Actuator (Dry Motor)(L Eng)
This test applies to chapters 24, 73, and 75. It causes the EEC controlled fuel driven actuators to move to their minimum and maximum positions. This test makes sure that the fuel driven actuators can move through their full range and that their slew rate is correct. This test makes sure that both EEC channels can control the fuel driven actuators correctly. This test does a check of these components:

Fuel metering unit (FMU)
*
Variable stator vane actuator (VSVA)
*
2.5 bleed actuators
*
LPT turbine case cooling (TCC) valve
*
HPT TCC valve
*
Turbine vane cooling (TVC) valves
*
Air/oil heat exchanger (integrated drive generator (IDG), backup generator, and engine) valves.
EFFECTIVITY

Ignition System (L Eng)
This test applies to chapters 73 and 74. It makes sure the igniter and exciter operate correctly. The test makes sure that the igniter relays in the engine relay unit (ERU), the igniter relay wires between the EEC and ERU, and the ignition voltage feedback circuits are okay.
