ACARS - BITE - PART NUMBERS
MCDU Part Numbers Display
The PART NUMBERS display gives information about the software part numbers and versions loaded in the CMU, and the hardware part number of the CMU. Part numbers will be displayed in the first four lines of the data field on the MCDU.
S/W Part No.- Line 1
Line 1 displays the operational software part number applicable to Southwest Airlines. This data base is customized and modifiable by Southwest Airlines Flight Operations.
Honeywell Generated Interface (HGI) - Line 2
Line 2 displays the Honeywell application software table part number, as well as the current version. The HGI database generates the Air Traffic Services (ATS) messages that the pilot can request through ACARS. Honeywell controls the generation of this database because of validation requirements. The database can be modified at operator request.
Airline Modified Interface (AMI) - Line 3
Line 3 displays AMI software part number as well as the current version. The AMI database contains data messages and display formats tailored for and by Southwest Airlines.
CMU Hardware Part Number - Line 4
Line 4 displays the hardware part number of the CMU installed on the aircraft.

ACARS - BITE - FAULT LOG MCDU FAULT LOG Display
The FAULT LOG display supplies access to the fault history of the CMU. This display is accessible on the ground and in flight. You can select fault history for the current leg of flight or faults that have occurred on previous legs using the LSK keys. Additional pages are provided if the fault history exceeds the line capacity of the first page.
NOTE: To return to the Maintenance Menu select <MAINTENANCE (LSK 6L)>
CURRENT FAULTS
Selecting <CURRENT LEG (LSK 1L) will display fault history for the current leg of flight. The faults in the current leg are displayed in reverse chronological order from top to bottom on the page. Faults can continuing on as many pages as required to display faults in lines 1 thru 5 of each page.
