CSS GENERAL -CDG -SYSTEM WIDE CONTROLS DEFINITION WINDOW
General
The system wide controls definition screen controls cabin operation and environmental control settings. Five selection boxes show the controls settings.
Airplane Model
This box shows the airplane model that uses the configuration database.
Lavatory Controls
These are the selections for lavatory controls:

Lav signs. Toggle makes the lav sign come on when the lavatory is not occupied and go off when the lavatory is in use. Steady keeps the lav sign on at all times. The occupied sign comes on in both modes whenever the lavatory is occupied.

Lav call reset. Switch panel resets the lavatory call at the CSCP/CACPs and at the lavatory. Switch only resets at the lavatory.
*
Lav lights door open state. Shows the level of the lavatory lights when the lavatory door is open and the airplane is in the air. The lights are always on bright when the lavatory door is open and the airplane is on the ground.
Reading Light Control
This box selects the type of reading light control available from the CSCP/CACP reading light screen. These are the selections for reading light controls:

Latched gives the passengers control of their reading lights only when the attendant selects NORMAL.

Momentary makes reading lights come on or go off when the attendant selects ON or OFF. In momentary mode, control of reading lights immediately returns to the passengers.
Reset Control and EICAS Reporting
Auto reset of chime suppression resets any passenger-to-attendant chime disables when the airplane is on the ground.
Lav smoke detector reset and crew smoke detector reset allows attendants to manually reset the smoke detectors.
The activate EICAS reporting boxes let EICAS show messages for lavatory smoke and crew rest area smoke.
Display light faults selection lets the continuous monitor test show failures of some cabin lights.
Other Controls
The fasten seat belt return to seat altitude box shows the altitude at which the FASTEN SEAT BELT and RETURN TO SEAT signs automatically come on or go off.
Speaker attenuation controls the volume of speakers surrounding a handset or a chime. This is done to decrease microphone feedback during announcements.

The panel time out value box sets the time that the CSCP/CACP screen goes blank if there are no screen selections made.
The time required to run an all test box shows the time required on the CSCP maintenance screens to do a complete CSS BITE.

General
The seat definition window defines and describes each seating area on the airplane.
Area Number
The first column lists the seating area numbers. There can be as many as eight seating areas.
Start Row/End Row
These columns give the first and last row number for each seating area.
Seat Area Description
This column gives a name for each seating area. This name shows on the CSCP/CACPs in the area descriptions.
Seat Configuration
The seat configuration button gives access to a window that allows a letter assignment for each seat in each row.
