NO PRINT.


MESSAGE TO PRINTER 1 shows when the print format goes to the flight compartment printer. It shows until the flight crew selects EXIT INFO or NO PRINT occurs.
NO PRINT shows when the print format cannot be sent to the flight compartment printer. It shows until the flight crew selects EXIT INFO.
When you select the SEND button on the MFD, one of these information messages show:

SENDING

*
SENT

*
NO SEND.


SENDING shows until the downlink is successful or the flight crew removes the response from the downlink list or the flight crew selects EXIT INFO.
SENT shows that the downlink is successful. It shows until the flight crew selects EXIT INFO.
NO SEND shows when the flight crew deletes the response from the downlink list. It shows until the crew selects EXIT INFO.

DCMS -FDCF ATC MENU

General
You select COMM on the display select panel to show the FDCF main menu bar. Select ATC to show the ATC menu.
The ATC menu gives you access to ATC format displays and sub-menus to communicate with the ATC. You can transmit messages and reports from the displays.
These are the displays you can select from the ATC menu:

Altitude request

*
Route request

*
Speed request

*
Clearance request

*
When can we expect

*
Voice contact request

*
Logon/status

*
Emergency report

*
Position report

*
Free text message.


You can also select the ATC requested reports sub-menu.
Use the cursor control device to highlight and select a display or sub-menu.
Altitude Request Display
The flight crew can make altitude requests from this display.
EFFECTIVITY

Route Request Display
The flight crew can make route requests from this display.
Speed Request Display
The flight crew can make speed requests from this display.
Clearance Request Display
The flight crew can request clearances from this display.
When Can We Expect Display
The flight crew can request schedule information about altitude, speed, and route changes on this display.
Voice Contact Request Display
The flight crew can request voice contact with the ATC on this display.
Logon/Status Display
The flight crew uses this display to connect to the ATC.
Emergency Report Display
The flight crew can report an emergency on this display.

ATC Requested Reports Sub-menu Display
The ATC can request reports from the flight crew. This display shows a list of the reports that have been requested. If no reports have been requested this selection is cyan and cannot be selected.
Position Report Display
The flight crew can report position information on this display.
Free Text Message Display
The flight crew can use this display to make free text messages and send them to the ATC.

DCMS -FDCF ATC LOGON/STATUS DISPLAY

General
The ATC Logon/Status menu selection gives the flight crew access to the ATC Logon/Status display. The cursor shows on this selector if an ATC connection has not been established.
Logon/Status Display
The flight crew must enter this information:

ATC ICAO identifier

*
Flight number.


Enter the ATC ICAO identifier in the Logon To boxes.
You can enter the flight number on this display or into the FMC. If you enter it into the FMC, the boxes on this display change to the flight number.
Use the cursor control device to select and activate the send selection.
This information shows after the system makes an ATC connection:
