Install the Feel Computer (Fig. 401)

(1)
Install the bolts (23, 24) washers (21, 22, 25, 26) and nuts (20, 27) to attach the feel computer (1) to the airplane structure.

Remove the plugs from the pitot-static, feel pressure, and hydraulic lines and the caps from the feel computer ports.

Connect the lines to the feel computer (1).

Install the bolt (15), washer (16), and nut (7) to connect the control rod (2) to the feel computer arm.

Connect the electrical connector (19) to the feel computer (1).

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers on the overhead panel, P11:

(3) Put the C FLT CONTROL SHUTOFF switch on the right side panel, P61, to the ON position.

_______ DIFFERENTLY. HIGH LOADS CAN OCCUR IN THE ELEVATOR, RUDDER, AND STABILIZER STRUCTURES FROM FORCES THAT CAN OCCUR FROM INCORRECTLY ADJUSTED PCAs. DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.

Pressurize the right and center hydraulic systems (AMM 29-11-00/201)

Make sure there are no leaks at the hydraulic line connections on the feel computer (AMM 29-11-00/201).

(6) S 864-032Move the horizontal stabilizer until Dimension B on the stabilizer ballscrew actuator is 15.89 | 0.01 inches (403.6 +/- 0.25 mm) (Fig. 402).
(7) S 864-033Remove the pressure from the right and center hydraulic systems (AMM 29-11-00/501).
(8) S 864-034Put the C FLT CONTROL SHUTOFF switch on the P61 panel to the OFF position.
(9) S 864-035Open these circuit breakers on the P11 panel and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: (a) 11B19, STAB TRIM ALT (IF INSTALLED) (b) 11H18, FLT CONT SHUTOFF TAIL CTR

Disconnect the control rod (2) from the feel computer (1).

Install rig pin E/ST11.

Adjust the length of the control rod until the conditions that follow are correct:
(a)
The bolt can be freely installed through the clevis of the feel computer arm and the rod end.
(b)
Rig pin E/ST11 can be removed with finger pressure only.

Install the bolt (15), washer (16), and nut (17).

Make sure the rod end threads are engaged correctly.
NOTE: You can see the rod end through the inspection hole.
