(a) Repair leaks that you find.

WARNING: STAY AWAY FROM THE NOSE GEAR WHEELS WHEN YOU REMOVE LOCKPIN.
_______ THE NOSE WHEELS CAN MOVE TO THE CENTER POSITION QUICKLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Put the nose gear wheels in the center position.

Remove the nose gear steering valve lockpin.

Set the MCDP to off.

Remove the hydraulic power if it is not necessary

ARGS ELECTROHYDRAULIC SERVOVALVE AND SOLENOID VALVES - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General
_______
A. The three Autopilot Rollout Guidance Servos (ARGS) are in the base of the vertical stabilizer, immediately forward of the rudder hinge line. Each servo unit has one electrohydraulic servovalve (EHSV) and two solenoid valves. The servos can be accessed through panel 324AL on the lower left side of the vertical stabilizer (Ref 6-42-00).

2. Remove the ARGS Electrohydraulic Servovalve or Solenoid Valves (Fig. 201)

Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00).

Remove the pressure from the L, C, and R hydraulic system (Ref 29-11-00).

Set the L, C, and R FLT CONTROL SHUTOFF switches on the P61 panel to OFF.

Set the L and R STAB TRIM switches on the control stand panel P10 to CUTOUT.
(5)
Set the two F/D switches on the MCP to OFF.
