1. General_______
A. This procedure describes the folowing tasks:
(1)
Changing the oxygen cylinder wiring to reflect the number of oxygen cylinders installed on the airplane.
(2)
Resetting the Supernumerary Oxygen System after system operation.
B. This Chapter/Section/Subject/Page Block uses Configurations (CONFIGs) to identify different oxygen system configurations used by operators: CONFIG 1: Passenger Oxygen System CONFIG 2: Supernumerary Oxygen System If an operator does not have a particular configuration in their fleet, that CONFIG's procedure will be LIMITED as CONFIGURATION NOT USED and will contain no instructions.
(1) Put the airplane back in its usual condition after mask operation.
C. A minor wiring change to the connector on the voltage averaging unit is needed when the number of active supernumerary oxygen cylinders is changed. The wiring change is needed to register the correct system pressure on the EICAS status page.
D. The voltage averaging unit is located in the ceiling beam in the right side of the forward cargo compartment. It is also aft of the cargo door at approximately Sta 740. Access is through the access panels to the oxygen cylinders.
