C. Procedure

Read and obey the safety precautions and general instructions before you do the maintenance (AMM 35-00-00/201).

If there was a ruptured overboard discharge indicator event that had left the discharge line exposed for an extended period of time, do the steps that follow:
(a)
Inspect the crew and passenger oxygen cylinders, replace the frangible disc on the cylinder safety valve with a ruptured frangible disc.
(b)
Flush the overboard discharge and vent lines with 100 psi dry clean air or nitrogen.
NOTE: Make sure there is no oil contamination in the air or
____
nitrogen source.

Insert the plastic disc in the port.
(4)
Install the snap ring.

VOLTAGE AVERAGING UNIT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. These tasks are included in this procedure:
(1)
Removal of the voltage averaging unit.
(2)
Installation of the voltage averaging unit.
B. The voltage averaging unit is installed in the ceiling beam aft of the cargo door in the forward cargo compartment. Access to the voltage averaging unit is through the access panels for the passenger oxgyen cylinders.

(a) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel

Open the cylinder access panel which is attached by snaps and velcro tape.

Disconnect the DM992 electrical connector from the voltage averaging unit (M992).
