(1)
Clean the nose radome surface where you will install the director bar with aliphatic naphtha.

(2)
Apply one layer of the primer to the surface where you will install the director bar.

(3)
Clean the surface with the solvent.

(4)
Install the director bar.
(a)
Cut a 13-inch long strip of the aluminum foil tape.
(b)
Install the tape as shown in Fig. 401.
(c)
Push the tape correctly into its location.

(5)
Install the M1458 decal on the radome as shown in Fig. 401 if it is not installed.

(6)
Do this task to close the nose radome: "Install Nose Radome" (Ref/53-52-00/401).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a) P18 Load Control Center - Left

2) WEATHER RADAR DC

TAIL CONE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of the tail cone. The procedure has these parts:
(1)
The movement of the stabilizer
(2)
The removal of the access panels
(3)
The removal of the APU exhaust duct and the aft fairing
(4)
The removal of a stabilizer or the two elevators.
(5)
The removal of the tail cone
(6)
The installation of the tail cone
(7)
The installation of the APU exhaust duct and the aft fairing
(8)
The installation of the access panels.
