When the temperature warning/advisory limit is attained the appropriate bit is set to 1, otherwise these bits are set to 0.
The FUEL L/R WING TK HI TEMP, temperature warnings are announced by:
- the master caution light
- a single chime aural warning
- the warning message on the upper ECAM display
- the automatic call of the FUEL system display page. The temperature value of the applicable tank will be shown in amber.
The FUEL L/R WING TK LO TEMP, temperature warnings are announced by:
- the warning message on the upper ECAM display
- the automatic call of the FUEL system display page. The temperature value of the applicable tank will be shown in amber.
The fuel temperature advisories are announced by the automatic call of the FUEL system display page. The temperature value of the applicable tank will be shown pulsing green.
If the fuel temperature data is unavailable due to low fuel state in a tank, or if failed, the temperature warnings and advisories for that tank are inhibited. Since the outer cell temperature probes are only installed in A319/A320 aircraft the related fuel temperatures are blanked on the FUEL system display page of A321 aircraft. This is transmitted to ECAM on ARINC Label 270 as follows:
- Bit 11 - Left Outer Cell Temperature State - set to 1

A. Procedure
(1) If the reported warning/advisory discrepancy is (or was) related to:
(a) The Left Outer Tank 1 Examine the FQIS STATUS page for the messages, L QTY PROBE

33QT1 and/or FQIC 3QT.
(b) The Left Inner Tank 1 Examine the FQIS STATUS page for the messages, L QTY PROBE
_
22QT1 and/or FQIC 3QT.
(c) The Right Inner Tank 1 Examine the FQIS STATUS page for the messages, R QTY PROBE
_
22QT2 and/or FQIC 3QT.
(d) The Right Outer Tank 1 Examine the FQIS STATUS page for the messages, R QTY PROBE
_
33QT2 and/or FQIC 3QT.
(2) If the related failure message(s) is/are given on the FQIS STATUS page, do the trouble-shooting Task(s) as follows:
(a) For FQIC 3QT message, do the Fuel Quantity Indication Computer (FQIC) 3QT (Ref. TASK 28-42-00-810-801).

(b) For L(R) QTY PROBE 22QT1(2) message, do the Fuel Quantity/Temperature Probe 22QT1(2), Left(Right) Inner Wing Tank (Ref. TASK 28-42-00-810-805).
(c) For L(R) QTY PROBE 33QT1(2) message, do the Fuel Quantity/Temperature Probe 33QT1(2), Left(Right) Outer Wing Tank (Ref. TASK 28-42-00-810-816).
(3) If none of these failure messages is given on the FQIS STATUS page. Set the MCDU to the related LAST/PREVIOUS LEG(s) report for the flight leg or incident when the discrepancy/failure was initially, and if necessary, subsequently reported.
NOTE : The FQIS STATUS page shows the aircraft LRUs that are
____ currently failed. The LAST/PREVIOUS LEG(s) report records previous aircraft LRU failures.
(4) Examine the selected LAST/PREVIOUS LEG(s) report for the related messages as given in Step (1).
