- FQIC rack connector 3QT-A, pins 3H, 5H and 15G
- receptacle 212VC and connector 212VC-A
- receptacle 1973VC and connector 1973VC-A
- terminal block 7517VT and all of its connections
- receptacle 7575VC and connector 7575VC-A
- pressure seal feedthrough 7505VP
- receptacle 7509VC-A, pins F, E and V
- adjacent and related connecting wires.
2 Electrical Tests
_ Do a continuity test (Ref. ESPM 20-52-21) and a test for a short circuit (Ref. ESPM 20-52-22) of the wires that follow (Ref. AWM 28-42-15):
- FQIC rack connector 3QT-A, pin 3H to connector 7509VC-A, pin F (signal)
- FQIC rack connector 3QT-A, pin 5H to connector 7509VC-A, pin V (common drive return)
- FQIC rack connector 3QT-A, pin 15G to connector 7509VC-A, pin E (common drive).
(d) Repair all the unserviceable wiring and connectors (Ref. ESPM 20-00-00).
(e) Connect the connector 7509VC-A to the tank wall receptacle 7509VC.
(f) Install the initial FQIC 3QT (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-400-001).
(g) Do the test given in Para. 3.B.
(4) If the fault continues, drain and open the tank to air (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-10-00-910-002).
(5) Do a check of the HARNESS-CHAN A, CTR TK (17QT) (Ref. AWM 28-42-15) and replace, if necessary, (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-44-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-44-400-001).
(6) If the harness 17QT is serviceable, replace the PROBE-FUEL QTY, NO 2 CTR TK GROUP A (36QT) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-15-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-15-400-002).

A. Procedure
(1) Temporarily replace the FQIC 3QT with a serviceable item (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-400-001).
NOTE : The step (1) has been included because it is important to make
____ sure that the FQIC 3QT is serviceable before you start more steps.
(2) If the message C QTY PROBE 36QT or C QTY PROBE 36QT/WRG is not shown:
- complete the installation of the FQIC (3QT) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-400-001).
(3) If the message C QTY PROBE 36QT or C QTY PROBE 36QT/WRG is shown:
(a) Remove the temporarily installed FQIC 3QT and return it to stores (Ref. AMM TASK 28-42-34-000-001).
(b) Get access to the tank wall connector 7509VC in the right MLG bay (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(c) Do a visual inspection and electrical tests of the aircraft wiring (Ref. AWM 28-42-15) between the FQIC rack connector 3QT-A and the tank wall connector 7509VC-A as follows:
1 Visual Inspection
_ Make sure that good lighting is available. Do a visual inspection and look for distortion (bent, pinched or stretched), damage (broken, chafed or cut), discoloration, overheating (burnt, melted or arcing), liquid contamination, loose electrical connection or incorrect assembly, of the items that follow:
- FQIC rack connector 3QT-A, pins 4A, 7C and 7B
- receptacle 212VC and connector 212VC-A
- receptacle 1973VC and connector 1973VC-A
- terminal block 7517VT and all of its connections
- receptacle 7575VC and connector 7575VC-A
- pressure seal feedthrough 7505VP
- receptacle 7509VC-A, pins F, E and V
- adjacent and related connecting wires.
2 Electrical Tests
_ Do a continuity test (Ref. ESPM 20-52-21) and a test for a short circuit (Ref. ESPM 20-52-22) of the wires that follow (Ref. AWM 28-42-15):
