R A. Safety Precautions
R (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
R (a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
R (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5
R minutes before you do this procedure.
R (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
R (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2)
R pushbutton switch is off.
R (b) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC
R 1(2).
R (4) Put an access platform in position.

R A. Record moment weight of blades.
R CAUTION : DO NOT MIX OLD FAN BLADES AND NEW RECAMBERED FAN BLADES ON A
_______ R SAME FAN DISK.
R NOTE : If pairs of fan blades are not available as spare, you can replace
____ R one blade individually when the difference between the moment R weight of the blade removed and its opposite is not greater than R 800 cm.g (315 in.g). However the inspections and corrections given R below must be done before and after the fan blade installation to R make sure the engine imbalance is not more than the limits. This R will also optimize the engine operation. Two conditions can exist, R refer to the logic dynamic. R (Ref. Fig. 412/TASK 72-21-00-991-346)
R NOTE : In all cases of individual blade replacement, remove its opposite
____ R to record the moment weight of the opposite blade.
R NOTE : In all cases of fan blades replacement a vibration survey is
____ R (Ref. TASK 71-00-00-710-009) necessary. Results from the vibration R survey will determine if the trim balance is necessary (Ref. TASK R 71-00-00-750-001).
R (1) Put a rubber mat in the air intake cowl.
R (2) Remove the spinner front cone (Ref. TASK 72-21-00-000-005).
R (3) Remove the spinner rear cone (Ref. TASK 72-21-00-000-006).
R (4) Record moment weight of removed blade.
R (5) Remove fan blade (Ref. TASK 72-21-00-000-007)
