CAUTION : DO NOT APPLY WATER AT MORE THAN 6 US GAL (23 LITERS) PER
_______
MINUTE. ENGINE DAMAGE CAN OCCUR.
(1) Dry motor the engine for two minutes (Ref. TASK 71-00-00-710-001).
(2) After 30 seconds in motoring, inject the cleaning solution at 1 o'clock position on the Low Pressure Compressor (LPC) inlet through the fan blades (or at the LP compressor inlet if a specific rig is used).
(3) After two minutes in motoring, release the ENG/MAN START/1 (2) pushbutton switch and stop injecting the cleaning solution.
(4) Let the engine soak for 5 minutes.
(5) Repeat steps (1) to (3) if extreme organic debris or oil deposits were present or if remaining EGT margin prior to the water wash was less than 10 deg. C.
