(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(4) On the AIR COND panel 30VU:
- make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend is off),
- put a warning notice to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
(5) On the HP ground connector:
- put a warning notice to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.

R (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
R (a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.

A. Removal of the starter shutoff valve
(1) Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors (20 and 30) from the starter shutoff valve (50). Use soft-nose connector pliers only if necessary.
(2) Remove the 2 V-clamps (10 and 40) which attach the valve to the upper and lower ducts.
(3) Remove the starter shutoff valve (50).
(4) Install blanking caps on all openings.
(5) Install blanking plugs on the electrical connectors.
