(b) Safety the magnetic plug (90) to the drain plug adapter (110) and starter housing with lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. (Material No. CP8001) or lockwire 0.032 in. (0.8 mm) dia. (Material No. CP8002).

D. Inspection of Starter External Surfaces.
(1) Visually make sure there are no signs of oil leakage from the starter housing. If you find oil leaks, replace the starter (Ref. TASK 80-11-10-000-002) and (Ref. TASK 80-11-10-400-002).
(2) Visually make sure there are no signs of oil leakage between the starter housing and the items which follow:
- Oil fill plug adapter (50)
- Oil overflow plug adapter (60)
- Oil drain plug adapter (110)

R (a) Oil leaks past these adapters could be caused by defective R O-rings below them. If you see any oil leakage, replace starter R (Ref. TASK 80-11-10-000-002) and (Ref. TASK 80-11-10-400-002).
R (3) Visually make sure there are no oil leaks from the knurled oil fill R plug (30) and the knurled overflow plug (80). If leaky, remove them R and make sure: R - O-ring (40) is installed and/or is in good condition R - O-ring (70) is installed and/or is in good condition
R (a) If necessary, install a new O-ring (40) and O-ring (70) on R knurled plug (30) or (80). Install plugs by hand. Make sure of R positive retention by their bayonet attachment system.
R (4) Make sure that adapters (50), (60) and (110) are correctly lockwired.
R (5) Make sure that the chains (or cables) which keep the plugs (30) and R (80) are in place and in good condition.
R (6) Make sure of correct installation and positive retention of V-clamps R (10) and (20).
