A. Safety Precautions
(1)
On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a warning notice in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2)
Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3)
On the ENG section of the maintenance panel 50VU:
(a)
Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b)
Put a warning notice in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access

Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

Put an access platform in position at the engine.
4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Engine Leasing Plate
(1)
Cut, remove and discard the lockwire.
(2)
Remove the nuts, the screws and the washers that attach the leasing plate.
(3)
Remove the leasing plate.

B. Cleaning of the Contact Surface
WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
(1) Clean and degrease the contact surface of the leasing plate with a lint-free cloth MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-002).

C. Installation of the Engine Leasing Plate
(1)
Put the leasing plate in position on the support.
(2)
Install the washers, the screws and the nuts.
(3)
Safety the two screws together on every side of the plate with lockwire, corrosion resistant steel 0.5 mm (0.020 in.).
